Elephant Conservation Center

The Elephant Conservation Center, located in Sayaboury in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, works to preserve and protect the Asian elephant, an endangered species. Created in 2011 by a team of experts, its program is focused on animal welfare, veterinary care and education of the mahouts.

The center mainly houses elephants that have been working in the wood industry or in tourism.
